UTech, NCU among 10 schools awarded course accreditations

Ten tertiary level institutions have been awarded certificates of accreditation for a total of 35 courses by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ).

Mico University College, the Montego Bay Community College, Northern Caribbean University (NCU), the St Mary’s University of Minnesota, the University College of the Caribbean and the University of Technology (UTech) are among those receiving accreditation for masters, bachelors and associate degree courses.

Speaking at an awards ceremony held yesterday UCJ Executive Director, Dr Yvonette Marshall congratulated the institutions which received the awards noting that this is testament to their commitment to quality and nation building.

Marshall said the UCJ remains committed to ensuring a rigorous process and safeguarding standards.
