Huawei bigger than budget phones
This week we will take a look on three devices from Huawei which includes the Talkband B1 and B2, and Huawei P8 Lite.
Huawei Smart Watch Offering
It's funny how people underestimate how big of a company Huawei is, and that they build more than just budget smartphones. The TalkBand B1and B2 are just the entry level smart watches from Huawei that offers health features at a budget price point.
The TalkBand B1 works as both a fitness tracker and a Bluetooth earpiece. It functions well as both and the sound quality for calls through the ear piece is pretty good. The battery life for the TalkBand B1 is amazing. We got through a full five days of moderate use with a single charge. Although the battery life was stellar we realised that the main functions it had to perform weren't battery intensive compared to other smart watches out there; plus the display wasn't colored or touch sensitive. The Huawei app for your smart phone helps to make the TalkBand B1 more functional, but it might be too simple for persons who want a little more depth in their health apps. Although the TalkBand B1 is a great first attempt for Huawei, there is much room for improvement.
The Huawei TalkBand B2 is almost identical in features to the TalkBand B1 which combines a fitness tracker and Bluetooth headset into one device. The only difference is a more masculine design and touch screen functionality. The TalkBand B2 is the first non-Jawbone device to offer compatibility with Jawbone's brilliant tracking app which works on iPhones and Android phones. The battery life falls a bit short compared to the TalkBand B1. We got roughly four days of moderate use on a single charge for this device. The Huawei app for your phone is still simplistic and the device functions are still kept at a minimum. Despite its new two-in-one design, the Huawei TalkBand B2 still needs some more adjustment and fine tuning to keep up with the smart watch crowd.
Huawei Smartphone Offering
Not all Smartphones from Huawei are geared towards the budget consumer, and P8 Lite is one of those phones. Let's look at the premium features this phone comes with.
Huawei P8 Lite
The Huawei P8 Lite has a premium design, a budget price tag, an amazing camera, and dual-SIM capabilities. These are the qualities that make Huawei what it is today. The one down side to the P8 Lite is the fact that it is running Android KitKat OS which is dated right now.
The battery life is good with a single charge taking you through a day and a half of moderate use. The 13MP camera takes amazing pictures and the 5MP front camera takes beautiful selfies no matter what the condition.
The Huawei P8 Lite is an affordable unlocked dual SIM phone.
