No plans to remove Dwight Nelson's bodyguard – police commissioner

Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams said there is no plan to remove the former national security minister’s bodyguard.

Commissioner of Police Dr Carl Williams, says the bodyguard assigned to former national security minister Dwight Nelson will not be removed.

In a post on his Facebook page yesterday, Nelson expressed concern that he has been left defenseless because his security detail was removed.

He said his bodyguard was removed last Friday without notice.

However, when contact by our news centre, the police commissioner said he was not aware that Nelson’s bodyguard was removed.

He noted that the Jamaica Constabulary Force is constantly reviewing the threat level to persons assigned with bodyguards.

The police commissioner said there is no plan to remove the former national security minister’s bodyguard.
