Road fatalities up, 82 deaths since January
Eighty-two people have been killed in Jamaica due to road crashes since the start of 2016.
This is higher than the number of road fatalities up to March 14 in the two previous years.
At this time in 2014, the number of road deaths was at 64, while it stood at 77 for the similar period in 2015.
Once again motorcyclists are the road users with highest number of deaths among them, with 32 of them being killed since the start of the year.
This is followed by pedestrians, with 13 deaths and private motorcar drivers, with 11 fatalities.
