Prisoner escapes from Diamond Crest facility in St Elizabeth

The police are on the hunt for an inmate who escaped from the Diamond Crest facility in St Elizabeth yesterday.

The national security ministry says 29-year-old Romaine Robinson otherwise called Shotta, Oneil and Crab escaped about 4:40 yesterday afternoon.

The ministry says Robinson was admitted to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in 2012 to serve a seven-year sentence for robbery with aggravation.

He is 5'7" tall; of stout build; dark complexion and has a tattoo on his lower left arm.

His last known address is Burnt Ground, St Elizabeth.
