Calabar's Christopher Taylor presents team captain Fabian Hewitt with one of his four gold medals won at Champs. Hewitt did not win a medal at the championships.

Amid this morning's scintillating celebrations at the Calabar High School – the home of the 2016 Boys' Champs winner - star athlete Christopher Taylor displayed another performance that reaped loud cheers and won more hearts.

Taylor, the winner of four gold medals at the championships, handed over one to his team captain, Fabian Hewitt.

Although leading his team to victory, Hewitt, a Class One athlete, did not win a medal for himself.

A teary-eyed Hewitt, obviously moved by the gesture, hugged Taylor after accepting the medal.

Hewitt had contested in the Class One 100m and 200m races at Champs this year.

Taylor, on the other hand, won gold in the Class Two boys' 200m, 400m, 4X100m OPEN and 4X400m OPEN.

The Red Hills Road-based school lifted the Mortimer Geddes Trophy for the fifth straight time to gain their 26th overall hold.
