Finance Minister Audley Shaw says the outcome of the recent general election is not a signal by voters that the programme with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) should be ignored.

According to Shaw, it is instead an endorsement of the government’s belief that the country can live within its means, pass IMF tests and achieve prosperity.

He also made it clear, that the government will not be abandoning the programme with the IMF.
