EOJ completing payments to election day workers
The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) says it has transferred payments to the accounts of some election day workers who were employed during the February 25 General Election.
The EOJ says the payments were transferred to the bank accounts yesterday.
However, the EOJ says the timeframe for payments to be reflected into individuals' accounts will vary depending on their financial institution.
The EOJ also says it is in the process of printing cheques for workers who did not provide bank accounts.
It says constituency offices island-wide will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 10 o'clock in the morning to two in the afternoon to facilitate the distribution of cheques.
