Supporters of the People's National Party (PNP) who have gathered in downtown Kingston to witness this morning's ceremonial opening of Parliament have been allowed to move closer to the centre of activity, Gordon House.

The supporters, who had been restricted to an area close to Sutton Street have now been allowed to move closer to Parliament, thanks to an intervention by party stalwarts.

The police have allowed the supporters to move closer to Parliament, however, many have been heard complaining that they are still not as close as they would like to be.
