The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AMCHAM) will host the very first viewing of the Jesse Owens biopic, RACE, in Jamaica today at Carib Cinema at 8:20pm.

This will come under the patronage of and in partnership with home-grown track superstar, Ambassador Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Fraser-Pryce said: "I am excited about AMCHAM’s support for the Pocket Rocket Foundation’s mandate to develop Brand Jamaica through education and sports.”

Part proceeds of the initiative will go to Fraser-Pryce's Pocket Rocket Foundation which, since its inception, has been creating a lasting impact in the lives of student athletes who would have also had the odds stacked against them.

CEO of AMCHAM Gail Abrahams said she was delighted by the partnership with Fraser-Pryce and her foundation.

"AMCHAM is excited to have Ambassador Fraser-Pryce on board with us for an event such as this. This event will be just one of many that we will partner with the Pocket Rocket Foundation to benefit education," she said.

The event is sponsored by Proven Wealth Limited.
