Elsaida Johnson of Bottom Albion in Manchester will be forever remembered for her honesty, integrity, and keen sense of humour.

In her 77 years on Earth, she planted indelible footprints of love and loyalty for her family, friends, and members of her community.

These were demonstrated in her kindness and ability to listen, give great advice, and be supportive.

She was a confidante to many who sought her wise counsel. After a session with her, persons always left her presence feeling better, especially because they knew that she would not judge them for their mistakes and her unconditional love would continue.

Johno, Sister J, or Mama, as she was affectionately called, was good at feeding both the heart and the stomach. her scrumptious meals whetted the appetites of those who had the pleasure of sharing in one of her meals.

She supported the youth. her grandchildren refer to her as the greatest grandmother ever. She gave them comfort, tried to understand them, listened to them, and supported their dreams.

Her children, Myrtle, Bernard, Calvin, Nadine, Ann-Marie, and Everton call her "Blessed".

She tried her best to ensure that she gave them the best of what she could afford and they were never denied her love.

Sister J was greatly admired for her Christian principles. She was an ardent member of the Albion Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This virtuous woman was very industrious and knew how to make do with what was available. She was greatly admired for her ability to get great benefits from seemingly insignificant things. This is attributed to her positive outlook on life and her unwavering faith.

She survived her husband, Percival Johnson, but leaves to mourn her six children, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sisters Isolin and Irene, brothers Ezekiel and Rupert, other relatives, and friends.

Although she will be sadly missed, her loved ones will always have pleasant memories of the footprints she has left as she bravely traversed this life, undaunted by obstacles and girded with optimism and faith that her life would be a guide for others to follow.
