Puerto Rico records its first death linked to ZIKV
Puerto Rico has confirmed its first death that has been linked to the Zika virus (ZIKV).
Health Secretary for the United States territory Ana Rius says the 70-year-old man was infected with the virus and died in February.
It is believed to be the first known Zika-related death in the US.
Puerto Rico has recorded more than 600 Zika cases, with at least 73 of them being pregnant women.
The US Centers for Disease Control says at least 17 people believed to be infected with the virus are now hospitalised on the island.
