Another policeman has been attacked.

The incident occurred early this morning in Kitson Town, outside of Spanish Town, St.  Catherine.

The identity of the cop, a corporal is being withheld, but law enforcement sources revealed that he is attached to the Guy's Hill Police Station, also in St Catherine.

It is reported that he was shot twice in the face and right thigh, but said doctors have managed to stabilise him.

According to reports,  the cop had stopped on the roadway because of car trouble when a man attempted to rob him and shot him.

The policeman was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he is now undergoing treatment.

It is believed that he shot one of his attackers.

However, the police were not immediately able to verify this.‎

The incident follows the murder of Corporal Judith Williams in east Kingston,  who was shot six times as she made her way to work last week.

Days later in a separate attack, a district constable and his girlfriend  were stabbed several times by masked men.
