Autopsies are to be carried out this morning on the bodies of the two US missionaries who were killed in St Mary on the weekend.

There have been no definitive reports on how 53-year-old Harold Nichols and 48-year-old Randy Hentzell were killed.

On the weekend, deputy superintendent of police and acting head of the St Mary Police, Dwight Powell said "marks of violence" were seen on one of the men’s bodies.

Yesterday Commissioner of Police, Dr Carl Williams was asked to clarify whether the men had been stabbed or shot.

He said the police will know for sure once this morning's autopsies are completed.
