NDM calls for Jamaicans to unite against the 'shocking reign of terror'
The National Democratic Movement (NDM) has called for Jamaicans to unite to bring an immediate end to what it describes as the 'shocking reign of terror and horror' in Jamaica.
The party says it is deeply saddened, disappointment and dismayed at the spiralling wave of senseless murders in the country.
In a release the party says the barbaric attacks on our people, including police personnel and missionaries who come to Jamaica to help the poor are at unacceptable levels and that it can no longer be business as usual in Jamaica as far as national security and justice are concerned.
The group questioned what kind of people we (Jamaicans) have become that vicious attacks on children, women, missionaries and other defenceless persons have become almost a daily way of life.
It stated that it is thoroughly disheartened and horrified by the chilling double murder of US Missionaries Harold Nichols and Randy Hentzel, in Albion Mountain, St Mary, Jamaica, who left their country to selflessly and tireless give of their time, skills and love in service to the poor and vulnerable in Jamaica.
The NDM is calling upon people who know the killers to hand them over to the relevant authorities and for the government to do its part in controlling crime in Jamaica.
It also says recent killing in St Thomas of a witness to two murders was a disgrace and clearly demonstrates the lack of critical thinking on the part of the Police.
“All Jamaicans must unite to bring an immediate end to this shocking reign of horror and terror!”, the NDM said.
