Flash Flood Watch for low-lying areas in northern parishes discontinued
The Meteorological Service has discontinued the Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood prone areas of northern parishes.
The Met service had issued the flash flood watch yesterday as rains affected those parishes.
In a release this morning, the Met Service said the Watch was being discontinued immediately.
It said the Cold Front, now across Jamaica, is projected to be east of the island later today.
It says satellite imagery and Radar observations indicate a significant reduction in showers across northern parishes.
It says the forecast is now for showers to occur across inland areas of mainly eastern and central parishes.
