The Met Service says satellite imagery and an assessment of the rainfall across the island indicate that a stationary is now located east of Jamaica.

The National Meteorological Service has discontinued the Flash Flood Watch issued last evening for low-lying and flood prone areas of St Mary and Portland.

The Met Service says satellite imagery and an assessment of the rainfall across the island indicate that there has been a significant reduction in shower activity across both parishes.

However, it says the forecast is for isolated showers mainly across eastern and central parishes this afternoon.

The Met Service says satellite imagery and an assessment of the rainfall across the island indicate that a stationary is now located east of Jamaica and is projected to remain east of the island for the next 48 hours before dissipating.
