The Police say its Chaplaincy Services Branch is providing support to the family members and colleagues of slain District Constable Lewis Robinson.

Robinson was shot and killed in his car by gunmen along the Lacovia main road in St Elizabeth yesterday.

Commissioner of Police, Dr Carl Williams, has condemned the killing and says the police will be relentless in bringing Robinson’s killers to justice.

Williams is also appealing to anyone with information who can help the police’s investigation to come forward.

He stresses that the country cannot allow criminals who are intent on causing grief and havoc to continue to roam freely.

Meanwhile, Opposition Spokesperson on National Security, Peter Bunting, has also condemned the policeman’s murder.
