Road licence applications backlog cleared, says Transport Authority
The board of the Transport Authority is reporting that the agency has now cleared the backlog of new road licence applications, which had accumulated since February.
The new Licensing Committee of the Board was named on April 26.
The Transport Authority says, since then, the Committee has convened three meetings and considered 488 new applications for various categories of road licences.
It says applicants whose road licence applications have been considered are being contacted by the Transport Authority’s customer care representatives.
The Authority says the committee is now processing road licence applications received in April.
The Transport Authority was unable to process new road licences, due to the absence of the Licensing Committee to consider the applications following the announcement of general elections in February.
