NWC commits to road repairs

The National Water Commission (NWC) has indicated that it will contribute to effecting needed repairs to the Golden Grove main road in St Ann.
The background to the NWC's  involvement with the road project is that last year the water utility company was advised of plans to repair the Golden Grove main road. The NWC was urged to replace the existing aged pipes along the roadway before the road work.
Consequently, the NWC mobilised to replace and upgrade more than 120 lengths of its pipeline with a view to facilitate planned road repairs. The pipe-laying work was completed in January. Unfortunately, the planned road repair has not taken place as scheduled.
However, the NWC has, however, renewed discussions with the National Works Agency (NWA) and remains fully committed to working with the NWA to ensure the completion of repairs in the shortest possible time.
