Waterford Primary gets PA system
In his continued support of education in South Eastern St Catherine, Member of Parliament Colin Fagan made a presentation of a public address system to the Waterford Primary School in the constituency. The presentation of an 800 watt double-speaker public address system with two cordless microphones were handed to the school on Monday.
Fagan expressed his delight in fulfilling a promise he made when he was invited to address a function at the school, which was marred by a malfunctioning public address system. "Waterford Primary is one of the schools in the constituency which has been excelling, and I see this public address system as a necessary component given the fact that there is not a functioning one here," stated Fagan who restated his commitment to supporting education.
Principal Octavia Waite said Fagan had made good on his promise and the staff and school board were appreciative. "As a result of this gesture, we know that we will always have a public address system for our functions," said Waite, adding that the system will also be of benefit to community groups who stage events at the school.
