Mentally ill man stabs brother of unsound mind to death

A man believed to be of unsound mind yesterday stabbed his younger brother, who is also mentally ill, to death after a dispute between the two.

Marcus Dennis, 32, succumbed to knife injuries he received from his 35-year-old brother sometime after 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.

The siblings who reside in Green Bottom, May Pen had an argument and the elder brother reportedly used a knife to inflict several wounds to Dennis' upper body.

He died at hospital.

The police say a third brother who also suffers from mental illness arrived home to find one brother with a knife and the other covered in blood.

The accused brother was held by police who were on patrol in the area.

The three brothers, are known to community members who say they have always lived together and never seemed to have had problems.

The 35-year-old accused has since been admitted to the May Pen hospital where as a psychiatric patient.
