Second man detained in connection with murder of St Elizabeth cop

The St Elizabeth police have held a second man in connection with the murder of a district constable in the parish a week ago.

Head of the St Elizabeth Police Division, Superintendent Lanceford Salmon says he and the first man held a few days ago are now in police custody and will be questioned this evening.

Salmon says the police have also established a motive for the murder but declined to reveal it stating that it would compromise the police investigations.

District Constable Lewis Robinson was shot in the head while sitting in his white Toyota Camry outside a night club along the Lacovia main road.

He worked at the Santa Cruz Police Station.
