The Clarendon police have launched separate investigations into two shooting deaths in the parish last night.

The police say they were alerted about the first shooting by residents who heard gunshots in the vicinity of York Circle.

Upon their arrival, the police say they found the body of 48-year-old Phil Anthony Murray on the sidewalk with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his head and upper body.

About an hour later the police were called to a premises in Havannah Heights Phase Three where they found the body of Devon Buckley.

The 38-year-old construction worker was reportedly sitting outside a shop at his gate when he was shot in the head by one of two men who had gone inside the shop and ordered cigarettes.

The police say they are yet to establish a motive for either of the killings.

Last night's killings follow a double murder in the parish on Sunday night.
