NWA Communications Manager, Stephen Shaw, says over the years there have been incidents where persons repaint pedestrian crossings using the wrong colour and the wrong dimensions.

As Labour Day approaches, the National Works Agency (NWA) says persons undertaking projects on the nation’s roads must ensure that they are in keeping with guidelines.

NWA Communications Manager, Stephen Shaw, says of particular concern for the agency are projects related to pedestrian crossings.

Shaw says over the years there have been incidents where persons repaint pedestrian crossings using the wrong colour and the wrong dimensions.

He also says there have cases where crossings are put in the wrong places.

Shaw says there are specific guidelines for installing pedestrian crossings and he’s urging persons to contact the NWA for help.
