The policeman being questioned in connection with the death of police Corporal Judith Williams is now being investigated in relation to the murder of another member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The policeman’s attorney, Peter Champagnie, says investigators have indicated that they want to question his client in relation to the shooting death of a policeman in 2013.

Champagnie says he has not been given any details about the case.

However, he says he expects to hear more about the case when the hearing into the habeas corpus application seeking the release of his client resumes in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on May 27.

He says his client is still undergoing a series of identification parades in relation to Corporal Williams’ case.

However, he notes that the policeman has not been pointed out in any of the exercises.

The policeman has been in custody for several weeks as the police probe the April 28 shooting of the policewoman who was attacked by gunmen who shot her multiple times after she left her east Kingston home for work.

Corporal Williams died the next day.
