The Met Service says a trough across Jamaica will continue to produce unstable weather conditions across the island.

The Meteorological Service has extended the flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas of St Thomas, Portland, St Mary and St Ann.

The Met Office says the warning will remain until 5 o’ clock this afternoon.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas of all other parishes.

The Met Service says a trough across Jamaica will continue to produce unstable weather conditions across the island.

Light to moderate and at times heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect most parishes, particularly Portland, St. Mary and St. Ann today and tomorrow.

Marine interests are being advised to exercise caution mainly over northern waters as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms due to gusty winds.
