Education minister kicks off islandwide parent consultations today
Minister of Education Senator Ruel Reid is to hold the first in a series of islandwide parent consultations today to discuss the role parents will play in the new Tuition-Fee Policy in high schools.
It’s being held at the Montego Bay High School in St James starting at 10:30 in the morning.
All parents and guardians of students attending high schools in September are invited to attend.
Senator Reid says the consultations are being held in collaboration with the National Parent Teachers' Association of Jamaica.
The Education Ministry says the next Parent Consultation will be at Jamaica College on June 1 and St Elizabeth Technical High School on June 2.
The Parent Consultations will then move to the Brown’s Town Community College on June 15, and end at the St Theresa’s Catholic Church in Annotto Bay, St Mary on June 16.
