Hyacinth Tavares Finson, mother of Senate president dies
Hyacinth Tavares Finson, the mother of the Senate president Queen’s Counsel Tom Tavares Finson, has died.
Mrs. Tavares Finson, 94, died at the University Hospital of the West Indies Monday afternoon.
She was a director at D.C. Tavares & Finson Realty Limited, one of the leading real estate companies in Jamaica.
A family member told The Gleaner that Mrs Tavares Finson he fell ill this morning and was taken to hospital where she subsequently fell into a coma.
She never regained consciousness.
Tavares Finson was surrounded by family members and loved ones including her son Tom and grandchildren at the time of her passing.
