JPS Launches Mobile Money for Customer Convenience
Jamaica Public Service (JPS) customers now have another convenient way to pay their bills from their phone or other device, even without a bank account or credit card.
The company recently signed a partnership agreement with Conec Mobile Wallet to provide this service, as part of its focus on customer convenience.
The partnership gives JPS customers access to an innovative solution that is quick, easy and secure. With Conec, JPS customers will be able to make bill payments at any time, from anywhere, using their mobile phones, tablets or computers. Customers will no longer have to be concerned about travelling to a bill-payment location, standing in line or walking around with cash.
Dan Theoc, chief financial officer, JPS, speaking at the launch of the Conec Mobile Wallet said, "JPS is very happy to offer this additional option for bill payment to our customers. We are aware that our customers are constantly seeking more convenient and secure methods to make their payments to us. As we continue to re-imagine solutions at JPS, this partnership with Conec gives us the opportunity to utilise technology to fulfil our customers' needs."
Heston Hutton, CEO, Conec Mobile Wallet, is also pleased with the partnership.
"This partnership is particularly important to us, as JPS joins other utility providers on the Conec platform. Now, all Jamaicans can pay their electricity bills at their own convenience using the fully functional Conec Mobile Wallet, which is available to everyone, no bank account required. Just fund your wallet and pay your bills, top up your phone credit or send and receive money, anytime, anywhere. These are very exciting times for Jamaica and we are pleased that JPS is working with us to make financial inclusion a reality for all."
