Medical doctor freed of sexual assault charges
A medical doctor who was charged with the sexual assault of a female patient was freed in the St Catherine Parish Court yesterday.
The doctor's attorney Jacqueline Samuels-Brown applied for a dismissal of the case in court yesterday when the material witness failed to show up for the hearing.
Parish Judge Grace Henry-McKenzie later dismissed the case stating that benefit should be given to the accused.
The accused was then told that he was free to go home.
Allegations are that the he allegedly fondled his patient during a medical examination.
The woman then made a report to the Portmore police and an investigation was launched.
