Mayor of May Pen, Councillor Scean Barnswell says the government has not delivered on reducing crime and implementing its promised $1.5 million tax plan, among other things.

Mayor of May Pen, Councillor Scean Barnswell, has given the government a failing grade for its first 100 days in office saying that the administration has not delivered on its election promises.

Barnswell, who is also the President of the Association of Local Government Authorities of Jamaica, says the government has been engaging in public relations instead of doing actual work.

He says the government has not delivered on reducing crime and implementing its promised $1.5 million tax plan, among other things.

The may pen mayor contends that many Jamaicans have been burdened by the government’s broken promises.
