The National Water Commission (NWC) says it expects to complete repairs to its sewerage network today.

The breakdown has resulted in line breaks and overflows in Edgewater, Portmore, St Catherine since the weekend.

The NWC says its wastewater crews have already completed repairs to two sections of the network.

However, it says there have been further line breaks along the pumping main leading from Edgewater.

According to the NWC, this latest break is near the intersection of Bridgeport Road and Eberle Drive, but affects sewerage flows in sections of Edgewater.

The NWC says is appealing to residents for patience.
