UPDATE: Finance Ministry says some workers sent home after fogging for ZIKA

The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service says it will be carrying out limited operations today.

This, the ministry says, is due to the effect of a fogging exercise conducted for ZIKA on its premises yesterday.

The Ministry says it has taken precautionary action to allow persons who have respiratory related issues to leaves their offices early.

All other personnel will be in office to serve clients.   

It says the last fogging exercise was conducted on September 18, 2014 during the outbreak of the chikungunya virus.  

The Ministry says regrets any inconvenience that this may cause to the public. 

Earlier, The Gleaner reported that several Finance Ministry workers were sent home after complaints of respiratory issues.
