The partially submerged Honda motor car wich a policeman drove into the sea on Wednesday evening.

There is still no sign of the policeman who disappeared after driving his car into the sea in Discovery Bay, St Ann earlier this week.

Communications Officer with the Jamaica Constabulary Force Stephanie Lindsay says members of the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard are still carrying out a search and rescue operation in the area.

According to Lindsay, residents reportedly observed when the driver drove the car into the water and managed to rescue him before the vehicle was fully submerged.

The residents then called the police, but the man jumped back into the water before the police arrived.
