At least two students of Holy Childhood High School in St Andrew were injured in a bloody brawl on Half-Way Tree Road this morning.

The school's administration confirmed the incident.

But it's not clear what led to the dispute involving the students of the all-girl Catholic high school.

However, the incident sent several students scampering along the street, temporarily impeding the flow of traffic.

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force were able to quickly bring the situation under control.

Earlier this week, a teacher and parent were involved in a stabbing and shooting incident on the grounds of the nearby St Andrew High School for girls.

The school has distanced itself from the incident saying neither men were employed at the institution.

They were reportedly attending a school leaving ceremony for sixth form students.
