UPDATED: Super Rewards for GraceKennedy Members

Published:Wednesday | June 29, 2016 | 6:00 AM

'Super Members' from GraceKennedy's Value Rewards have been receiving several benefits from the programme.

These include day passes to the Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort, fine-dining experience for four at the Terra Nova Hotel's Regency Restaurant and the Ambassador Suite spa treatment from Jencare Skin Farm. The loyalty programme rewards customers who complete transactions at GraceKennedy subsidiaries like Hi-Lo, Bill Express, FX Trader, GK General Insurance and First Global Bank. Customers earn points when they complete transactions at any of the participating subsidiaries to become members of the GK Value Rewards programme

Antoinette Tucker has been part of the programme for over a year. Tucker says she loves any programme that allows her "to get something back".

"I've always been big on rewards. I try to benefit as much as possible from programmes that reward me for spending my money. I've linked my First Global Bank credit card to my GK Value Rewards account, so anytime I use my card at a participating GraceKennedy subsidiary, I earn double the points. I hardly use cash anymore," said Tucker. Super Members have got over 136,000 points over the past 15 months. Members get one point for every $100 spent at Hi-Lo.

Tucker got movie tickets and even vouchers towards her insurance premium with more than 3,000 points. She says her agent told her she was the first person to use the voucher.

Super Members can also win cell phone credit, dinner and brunch at Terra Nova Hotel, lunch at Bob Marley One Love Cafe, gift certificates for Hi-Lo, Rapid True Value and Fontana, and passes for adventure tours at Chukka or tours at Bob Marley Museum and Tuff Gong International.

GK Value Rewards has about 52,000 Jamaicans in the programme.

EDITOR'S NOTE:‎ earlier, this story had said customers must complete transactions at all of the participating subsidiaries to become members of the GK Value Rewards programme. That was incorrect. In fact, customers earn points when they complete transactions at any of the participating subsidiaries to become members of the GK Value Rewards programme.
