Peter Collins, Assana Thompson and Kijani Williams were not surprised by the results they received in the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT). The Wolmer's Prep students were identified as students to watch, and have been identified by their teachers as top performers. While they did not attain the perfect scores they had anticipated, their performance still puts them ahead of their peers as the top GSAT students for their school.

Kijani, who will be attending Kingston College, a choice he made after being prompted by his uncle, said he studied hard and paid attention in class.

"I paid attention to all the details and everything that I have learnt, everything that my teacher taught me, and I studied daily so I was expecting good results," he said.

Peter Collins and Assana Thompson, who are both headed to Campion College, also expressed confidence in their abilities to ace the exams.

"I listened to what my teachers said in class; I made study timetables and went to Saturday classes, so I expected to do well," Peter said.

Assana admitted that her participation in Spelling Bee aided her greatly as she prepared for the exam.

"While I was doing Spelling Bee, I spent part of my time preparing for that and GSAT as well so I studied after school, before school, on the weekends and every chance I got," she said.
