INDECOM probing police killing of alleged gunman in Manchester

The police say they were attacked by the gunmen and the fire returned. One of the men was shot and succumbed to his injuries.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is now probing the fatal shooting of an alleged gunman by the police in the George's Valley, Manchester.

According to the police, a group of gunmen attacked persons leaving an event in Alligator Pond, South Manchester and then fled.

The police reportedly received intelligence about the whereabouts of the gunmen and trailed them to George's Valley.

The police say they were attacked by the gunmen and the fire returned.

One of the men was shot and succumbed to his injuries.

The police say they recovered a firearm.
