The St James Police has listed the names of 12 men who are wanted for murders and other serious crimes.

Since the start of the year the parish has recorded more than 125 murders.

This represents an increase of more than 20 per cent when compared with the corresponding period last year.

A statement released by the St James Police yesterday revealed that four of the men being sought are wanted for murder while four others are wanted for shooting with intent.

Among them is a Shaneil Lutan, of Farm Heights, St James, who is wanted for two counts of murder and illegal possession of firearm.

The police are appealing to the men to turn themselves in by Monday and are also warning the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour criminals.
