Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley says he wishes Jamaica prosperity as he started the business aspect of his visit to Jamaica this morning.

The prime minister paid a courtesy call on Governor General Sir Patrick Allen at King's House.

The two held discussions for about 30 minutes.

Rowley later signed the official guest book where he wished peace and prosperity for the people of Jamaica.

"My love and very best wishes to all the people of Jamaica, for peace, prosperity and brotherly love, from all the people of Trinidad and Tobago," Rowley wrote.

Rowley's visit comes as Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago continue to have issues regarding trade and the treatment of Jamaicans by immigration officials of the twin-island Republic.

Rowley and Prime Minister Andrew Holness are expected to sign a cooperation agreement to end the four-day trip.

Rowley arrived yesterday and will leave on Thursday.
