Richard Crawford says postponing a leadership challenge will put the party in a united position to focus on contesting the expected local government elections.

At least one political commentator says Peter Bunting has made a wise decision not to run for the PNP top job at this time.

Richard Crawford says postponing a leadership challenge will put the party in a united position to focus on contesting the expected local government elections.

Crawford further says stepping back in the interest of the party will put Bunting in a positive light with PNP delegates.

He says notwithstanding the diverted leadership challenge, the PNP still has to address the matter of the leadership of the party.
