47-year-old policeman among four killed in Portmore crash

A policeman is among four people killed in a two-vehicle crash along the Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine this morning.

He has been identified as 47-year-old Sergeant Dillon Davis who was attached to the Kingston Central Police Division.

It is reported that about to 2 o’clock, a Toyota Yaris motor car being driven by 18-year-old Theo McKenzie, collided with a Honda CRV that was being driven by Sergeant Davis.

McKenzie of Greater Portmore, St Catherine and two of the three passengers in his car died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as 27-year-old Tameca Davis also of Greater Portmore and a man known only as Marvin.

The fourth passenger in the Yaris has since been hospitalised.

The fire department had to be called in to cut open the cars to get out the crash victims.

 Last night's crash was the fifth in two months that resulted in multiple fatalities and a total of 22 lives.
