Police carry out operation at KSAC, ask to review documents

Town Clerk at the KSAC, Robert Hill, says the police arrived around 10 o'clock this morning.

The police today carried out an operation at the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) as part of ongoing investigations at various local authorities.

But Mr. Hill says he was not informed of the reason behind the visit or of the findings.

However, in a statement, the KSAC said the police came to the office to review some documents as part of the ongoing investigation of the local authorities,

Mr. Hill says he is pleased with the way his staff were treated during the probe.

He also  says the KSAC will continue to cooperate with the investigators.  

The police previously carried out raids at the Clarendon, Manchester and St. Catherine parish councils.
