Millions still available in Red Stripe 'Go For Gold'

There is still more than $7.5 million in cash and prizes to be won in the Red Stripe Go For Gold campaign.

Even as more than a dozen Red Stripe drinkers celebrate winning cash and prizes in the summer campaign, the company is still on the lookout for its grand-prize winners who will travel to Brazil for the 2016 Olympics.

Launched in May, the Go For Gold campaign includes five grand-prize packages, each providing a trip for two to the Games, inclusive of airfare, hotel accommodation, tickets to track-and-field events, and spending money.

"We're giving prizes that will enhance the experience and give Jamaicans an additional reason to cheer on our athletes," said Nasha Douglas, senior brand manager of Red Stripe.

Owner of Kassey's One Stop, Carol Lewis, is among the winners named so far. Lewis won a Red Stripe home-viewing party, and already has plans to make it a memorable experience.

"I plan to set up my bar really nicely, and I know that my customers will enjoy it. I think it will be a nice vibe and I am sure I will sell a lot of Red Stripe beer," said a beaming Lewis.

Other recent winners include Kim Daley, Khaliah Cooke, Jahvel Lothan, who won $50,000 each. Daniel Trenchfield won $100,000. Appleonia Brown won a 32-inch smart TV for her viewing pleasure.

Consumers can enter to win prizes when they find special codes under their Red Stripe bottle caps.
