Voting in the St Andrew Southern constituency for the position of chairman has been delayed.

The PNP secretariat said voting would take place between 1 p.m. and 4:30 pm. However, the polls would have been preceded by a constituency meeting at the Avon Park Crescent offices, where sitting chairman Dr Omar Davies who is also the Member of Parliament, would have officially resigned, and the position declared vacant.

That would clear the way for the three candidates, Senator Mark Golding, former MP Colin Campbell and Wesley Morris to be duly dominated.

Once nominations are accepted, the voting would begin.

That meeting is currently underway.
