UPDATE: Three persons killed in Trelawny crash identified; seven others injured
The three people killed in this morning's motor vehicle crash along the Duncan's bypass in Trelawny have been identified.
The dead, who were all travelling together in a Toyota Axio motor car, have been identified as Leslie Murray from New York; and Delroy Clarke and Leon Salmon of Bamboo district addresses in St Ann.
The police say the Toyota motor car collided with a Nissan Caravan about 7:44 a.m.
The Toyota Axio was reportedly travelling to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay with the American visitor, who was on the island for a funeral. At a section of the road, the driver of the Axio lost control of the vehicle causing it to swerve right. It collided with the Caravan which was headed in the opposite direction.
The police say a total of seven people are being treated for injuries at hospital, including two others who were passengers in the Toyota Axio.
