The local government minister says all blocked roads in St James should be cleared by today.

Albion and Fairview are two of the areas affected by flooding.

McKenzie said the government through the National Works Agency has been dealing effectively with the situation.

He said other roadways affected by flooding have been cleared.

Meanwhile, McKenzie said the Jamaica Defence Force is carrying out an assessment along the country’s coasts following reports that some fisherfolk are trapped.
