Acting Chief Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health, Dr Winston De La Haye, says medication for adults who are HIV positive should be available in public pharmacies by tomorrow.

There have been reports of a shortage of HIV medication in Jamaica.

De La Haye said the Ministry has made an emergency order of the medication.

He says the paediatric medications arrived earlier this week and have been made available.

However, he says although the shipment of medication for adult patients had also arrived, there was a challenge in clearing them.
