Late Gleaner journalists awarded national honours

Late Gleaner journalists Gary Spaulding and Glenroy Sinclair are among several persons to be awarded posthumously in October during the annual National Honours and Awards Ceremony at King’s House.

Spaulding and Sinclair died days apart in June.

Both have been awarded membership in the Order of Distinction for outstanding contribution to the field of journalism.

Late Third World lead singer William 'Bunny Rugs' Clarke has also been awarded posthumously for outstanding contribution to the Jamaican music industry locally and overseas.
